The shrine of Vyankateshwara's is located in Tirumala town in Ventatam hills near Tirupathi in Chittoor district in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Vyankateshwara also popularly called Balaji is the manifestation of Vishnu. The literal translation of Vyankateshwara from Sanskrit into English means the destroyer of sins. Vishnu manifested in the Kalituga to aid the masses in cleansing their souls and to progress forward in the path of evolution.
